Poster Birds

There's a feature in Photoshop that renders a 'Poster Edge.' What could be more deserving of posterization than birds of Halibut Point that endured the winter? I agree with those of you who appreciate a plain portrait. On the other hand, painterly liberties can give them a nice touch.

Cedar Waxwing

Robins in the Snow

Yellow-rumped Warbler

Hermit Thrush

Red-bellied Woodpecker

Chickadee

Cooper's Hawk

  1. Hi Martin. Nice to see you expanding your artistic vocabulary to include professional photography enhancements such as Photoshop's poster edge. Nicely executed!

  2. A calm and accurate assessment of changes afoot at the park. Thanks. The fact is that people have longstanding expectations about the circumstances of their lives, and are upset by dramatic and unforeseen changes. A tree brought down by a storm in 2010 led to dramatic changes that altered the landscape in my home's immediate vicinity, destroyed privacy and led to conflict. The only real choice was to adapt to the changes and make the best of alterations. When the dust settles at the park I hope that visitors, human and animal, adapt peacefully.
